Planning Cycle Documentation
Improving the documentation of the Planning Cycle by exploring strengths and challenges, enhancing analysis, relevant frameworks, and ensuring critical reflection and evaluation in practice.
Effective PLANNING CYCLE DOCUMENTATION
The Planning Cycle is our most important curriculum guidance tool and ensuring we are effectively implementing and documenting all aspects of the cycle can feel daunting. This workshop examines current practice, supports areas of the cycle that could be improved and offers time saving ideas to extend Educator thinking and manage documentation. This workshop will use small group activities, collaborative teamwork and critical reflection to answer the following questions:
-
Which areas of the Planning Cycle are your strengths?
-
Which areas of the Planning Cycle do you find most challenging?
-
Could more intentional use of language and ideas from the relevant Approved Learning Framework assist with analysis and planning?
-
Could the Early Childhood Learning Trajectories assist with individual child analysis and planning?
-
Is your current documentation ensuring that Evaluation is occurring through a critical reflection lens?
